How are Integrated Care Systems developing? presented by Gerard Hanratty, 23 February 2022

Gerard, Head of Health at Browne Jacobson provided an update on how ICSs are developing.  

In particular he talks us through the work his team have been doing with ICSs as they are developed for establishment; looking at some of the issues which have been grappled with, and sharing work NHS clients have done to fit with the expected new legal framework. Gerard also looks at how ICSs may evolve over the next few years, as they establish their place in an integrated health and social care legal framework.

'Discharge to assess' presented by Leigh Forsyth, 19 January 2022

The aim of this webinar is to provide an overview of the policy - and the key features - of 'discharge to assess', providing updates on the national policy, and discussing common issues around implementation The webinar is presented by Leigh is a physiotherapist and currently the Senior Improvement Manager for Therapies and Social Care in ECIST. He currently works with the National Discharge Cell as the SME advising on discharge to assess and supports improvement at a system level within the ECIST team.

'Resilience, from an individual and team perspective ' presented by Peter Carter, 15 June 2022

Dr Peter Carter OBE, former General Secretary of the RCN gave an informative and thought provoking webinar on Wednesday 15th June. Drawing on many examples where nurses go over and above in the interests of patient care and some specific challenges overcome during the Covid 19 pandemic, Peter covered:

  • Psychological responses and support strategies during challenging times
  • How the most successful teams sustain resilience
